It is that time of the year again!

I will take the first 32 people who signup for the contest by SENDING me an E-Mail WITH their mailing address AND first & last name. I will NOT take anyone posting on the Board to get in.

Please indicate "Chippers Pro Football Contest" in the subject line of your E-Mail.

The contest will be a little different this year so read on.........The rules for the contest are below.

Each person is putting up 4 $5 chips for the regular contest. They can be from anywhere, but MUST be chips in very good shape with NO damage AND chips that are or were used in a CASINO! The Contest will be in two parts (first half & second half of the season) PLUS the addition of a 33 point pool! The $5 chips for the 33 point pool are in ADDITION to the other 4 chips you are putting up above. So, keep in mind that you are putting up 4 $5 chips for the entire season AND whatever $5 chips are needed for the 33 point pool.

For those of you thinking that a 33 point pool will get hit a lot like Tommy Leggio's 13 run pool in Baseball I can tell you it won't happen. I have been in 33 point pools for quite a few years & some years it never gets hit. Last year it was only hit four times for the entire season. I will also be running it a bit different than other 33 point pools. In some your team has to score 33 points & win the game.

Here your team just needs to score 33 points win or lose. We will only add another $5 chip once the 33 point pool is hit. IF it does not get hit for the entire regular season (or the regular season ends without it getting hit an additional time) then the 33 point pool ends. The team you have in the regular contest is also your 33 point pool team!

The regular part of the contest will include the first half of the season (after your team has played their FIRST 8 games) & then the second half (after your team has played their LAST 8 games). This way one person does not get stuck with the same dog for the entire season! Whoever has the team with the best record at the end of the first half of the season will get 20 $5 chips & the person who has the team with the second best record in the first half of the season gets 10 $5 chips. The same thing for the second half of the season.

Whoever has the team with the worst record at the end of the first half of the season will get 20 $5 chips & the person who has the team with the second worst record in the first half of the season gets 10 $5 chips. The same thing for the second half of the season.

Tie breakers will be most points scored, followed by least amount of points given up for the best record part of the contest. It will be least amount of points scored followed by most points given up for the worst record part of the contest.

Once we have winners I will E-Mail their address to the Chippers having to send chips & then they will send the chips directly to the winners of each half.

I again have available the Doc's Sports Journal below. They will NOT be mailed out automatically as in past years. The Journal keeps getting bigger & postage keeps rising. So, if you want one you will have to let me know in your E-Mail & there will be a $2 charge to mail them out.

I will do the draw for the first half of the season a few days before the season starts & post it on the Board.
