While attending DEFCON X at the Alexis Hotel (across the street from the Hard Rock) last weekend I found myself at the Hard Rock's cage. Although my last 5 (count 'em, F-I-V-E) visits to the cage netted absolutely zero LE's (of any kind) I decided to try once more.

This was very hard to do, as I have never, ever gotten an LE directly from the HRH cage. In fact, when I was there for Susong's gathering, I didn't even bother. And the following day, while getting the Pink Taco chip, I still didn't bother the cage. I have since made two other stops at the HRH and neither time did I go to the cage.

But since I was early for the DEFCON Convention, I decided to try one more time.

To make a long story short, the cashier apologized by had no chips. His supervisor (who was standing behind him) said, I think I have some, let me get my key. With that he walked off and returned shortly and opened his drawer. He pulled out some LE's (9 of them! ) and spread them on the counter.

I was in shock. I asked if I could take them all, and he said yes. I nearly ripped my underware off grabbing for the money in my pants pocket and putting it up on the counter!

I ended up with 2 used Hot Chili Peppers, 2 new Depeche Mode, a used Bob Seger, a new Christmas '97 (building), a good Neville Brothers, a good Halloween '97 and a used Con Air!

I only had the Depeche Mode previously, so I was excited! I toked the supervisor $5 and was very happy with my $50 transaction!
