With regard to the Plant date, I would expect that back-to-back is the only way they could schedule these shows. Plant is on tour with The Who. He needs to be with them to open for them at whatever show comes before Vegas, and at whatever show comes after Vegas.

Actually, I wonder whether Plant has some kind of contractual deal to play at every show while he's out on the tour. If so, the Hard Rock may have had no choice but to book him. But given the size of the venue, there's no need for an opening act, so why not just book him the night before.

That's just speculation. The call I got from the Joint's publicist confirming the WHo show, however, is fact.
