Maybe my worst eBay regret was the deal I didn't pull off. Spotted a Diamond Jim's Nevada Club LV HHL 25¢ chip, a companion chip to the ones with the serial numbers on them. N7733 Rated in TCR #6 (jeez, how many of these things do I have?) as a "J" value $50-59. I had the other denoms and thought this would be a neat chip to have. Ended up in a bidding war and got up to $72 when I thought I was embarassing myself by going over TCR. Even though I still had bullets left to fire and wanted the chip, I dropped out for fear of looking foolish. Perhaps another of these chips would come up soon. A couple of months later TCR #7 appeared and ol' N7733 was now a "T" value $350-399! I'll never be able to get one now because I manage to find so many nifty cheap chips and getting $350+ and the chip in the same place doesn't look promising. I wouldn't have cared to take a profit on the piece, just wanted the chip for my collection. That's when I learned if I collect what I like, I'll never be dissappointed in what it's worth.
