Last night at 10:00pm the new Ameristar Casino in St. Charles, Missouri opened. They had a spectacular fireworks display, then opened the doors to the state's largest casino. It has 130,000 square feet of space with 3,300 machines and 95 tables.
It is located about 1 mile from Harrah's in the suberbs of St. Louis. I work midnight shift so I wasn't able to attend last night, but will be there in about an hour to see if any new chips were issued. They had a smaller casino on the site, which was owned by Station Casinos until October of 2000.
Just curious.....How do some of the Vegas casinos rate in square feet, machines and tables?
