So a couple of weeks ago, an Ebay seller put up for auction a $100 Desert Inn Chipco. (Rated Z1.) I emailed him asking if he also had a $25 DI Chipco. He did, and sent me a scan of it. Along with that scan, to my surprise, was a scan of a $500 DI Chipco! I never saw one before and TCR and Campiglia's book didn't have one listed. So I made a risky and rushed offer for the $25 and $500 together and was able to get them.

Meanwhile, another collector informed me that he also has a $500 Chipco in his collection. So that makes two confirmed specimens so far. And another collector remembers seeing one at the convention a couple years ago. But that could be one of the two chips we currently have in our possession.

I asked the seller for some info on the $500 chip I received from him, but he wasn't able to tell me much, other than he inherited a collection from a friend that included the chip. One interesting note: The seller is from the same area as the chip manufacturer.

Anyone else have sightings of this chip?
