I believe they are the same. There are 9 waves on each chip, but the die cutting on the one on the right is slightly to the right. Note the distance between the chip ane the "e" in line. So the wave pattern does start shifted to the right.
The texture of the inlay is a little more pronounced on the one on the left, but they both have that same texturing when you magnify them.
As far as the darker Blue in the water it appears to follow the textering of the inlay, so I think it is just the effect of what ever was used to attach the inlay.
