The annual ANA Convention is in New York City next week. This convention is the largest coin show of the year and it is held in a different city each year. This is only the 2nd time in the last 30 years that it has been in New York. There are 100's of dealers at the show and it is likely that you will be able to find some dealers selling chips. For those of you in the New York area, this is a great opportunity to attend a national event in your own backyard.

The CC>CC will have a table, # 107, at the convention to recruit new members. If you will be at the show and can devote even just an hour to help cover the table, we would very much appreciate your volunteering. The Club will also have an exhibit of all the past COTY/TOTY winning chips and tokens. If you were not able to get to the CC>CC convention this year to see this great exhibit, here is your chance. I will be exhibiting an award winning display of $1 Nevada Picture Chips, that will include some fairly rare items.

The convention starts this Wednesday, July 31, and ends on Sunday, August 4th. The convention hours are 10 am to 7 pm each day, except Sunday which is 9 am to 3 pm.

On Thursday at 1 pm, I will present an "Introduction to Chip Collecting" in the Olmstead Room at a meeting of TAMS, the Token And Medal Society.

On Saturday at 8 am, I will host a meeting of the CC>CC in the Ziegfield Room. Please bring your traders. At the same time, a representative of the CC>CC will be accepting an award for the Casino Chip and Token News magazine.
