"In a move that could have far-ranging privacy implications, Harrah's Entertainment announced last week that it will furnish Sony Pictures' soap-opera Web site "SoapCity" with its entire database of Total Rewards cardholders, numbering approximately 25 million. In return, Sony will funnel celebrities to events at Harrah's casinos, provide online content for the gaming company, and offer discounts to Total Rewards members for products purchased at SoapCity."
