I have long been of the belief that education is none of the government's business ... and to the extent that government has made education its business, they haven't done it very well.

Nevertheless, I did send my children to public school and my wife and I were active throughout their school years in PTA, fund-raising, athletic booster & coaching and other volunteer activities.
