Larry; No, the term "fakes" would not be appropriate. These chips have been legitimately used at some Fun Nite casino events in Atlantic City .... but NOT at Playboy. These chips were primarily produced by Paulson for use in Friday Night home use poker games... for which purpose they are still being sold today. The current problem on ebay is that they are being mis-represented as to what the seller claims they were used for... in spite of what her alleged father-in-law in security may have told her.

Most A.C. collectors know what these chips really are and would not be fooled on ebay or anywhere else. It is new-comers to the hobby such as yourself who wind up getting ripped-off and then become discouraged when they find out they have been taken advantage of and possibly leave the hobby with a bad taste in their mouth.
