****Heart & Box**** mold, no denomination,"The Forest Club" chip.
The gambling club was located on Hwy-15 in Richland Parish, 15-miles southeast of Monroe, LA,. The Forest was built in the early 1940's, and closed in the mid-'70's after a series of raids. During the 1960's, "Buddy" Nugent brought everlasting fame to the club when he opened a high-stakes game of poker. Other games of chance that the club offered were 1-black jack and 2-crap games. The poker tuffs that dominated the club's high-stakes game were; "Blondie" Forbes, Murph Harrold, and "Sarge"Ferris, and those 3-players would go on to mortal glory in "The Poker Hall of Fame in Las Vegas. Alhough more often than not, Nugent held his own against them.
P.S. there are only 7-chips left for sale out of the original 14, and there will not be anymore. The price of $65 per chip is firm, plus $5 for shipping. Make money order payable to: Doug Harrold
