I try to use the words "casino chip" so people searching don't find a bazzilion other chips they aren't interested in. Denomination, Casino, Then the City and State. "$5 Casino Chip, Red Lion Elko, NV" other information if room.

I do try to list quantity if a limited supply chip, otherwise, cheap chips, are such that people can assume it's cheap.

But what's the difference since I see all sorts of "rare" chips, Obsolete, listed, which are current and on the tables?

I agree with your points, and it seems most responsible sellers include this already. But nothing prevents errors and misleading descriptions which many use to hype their items on eBay.

The final decision should be based on the buyers research and choice.

I have a set of chips, which I had 19. I have listed them as 14 left of 19, but it doesn't seem to matter. When there are none left, I know someone will email me asking for more. lol *G* Does 19 complete sets, of a small town Nevada roulette chip seem like a huge number?

The surprise is that by being honest and disclosing numbers, it seems people are less interested, than if I just used, Obsolete chips, and leave it up to the imagination.

Oh by the way, I include shipping on almost all chip sales. When it came to a box of 100 chips, I charged actual shipping. 2 1/2 pounds needs some support, 55c for a chip, isn't going to hurt me.

I believe there is a place for shipping on the auctions, it's way down at the bottom in the standard information, things like sales tax. Even though I put it in the description and the standard box,

I still get letters asking about shipping cost. I guess Shipping Included is confusing in a world when shipping, insurance, packaging, carrying cost and handling might be added as a sting, after the fact.

When I search I use "casino chip*" when I have time to read and be amused. I use Wisconsin casino, and next search WI casino just in case. Followed by Elko Nevada Casino, and Elko NV casino

I hope that someone listing something would include the bare minimum information such as that.
