A few year ago I received a call from an elderly gentleman in California who claimed he walked with $500 in face ($5 and $25 chips). He asked what I was willing to pay for the chips... and he also told me about his failed attempts to cash them in through the years.

After scaring him away with my bid (too high, per Gene Grossblatt who would have been part of the deal) when he called me back, I never heard from him again. Then, a couple months ago I received a phone call from someone in California who said his father had passed away and his safe deposit box at the bank had a "bunch" of $5 and $25 Flamingo chips.

I have no idea who took the deal... and I wonder if the first caller was the father of the second caller.
