Re: Red Rocker has always and still ROCKS

Sammy Hagar without a doubt puts on an excellent show! He's one of those people that doesn tjust do a 10 song show and then outta there. He put on a free show 2 summers ago in Toledo which i was lucky enough to attend....along with 55,000 other people. He played for 2 1/2 hours. It was in the summer and hot. He told the audiance to not forget about the kids out there..and if there were kids out there that were thirsty..they were welcome to come up and join him up on stage and have some gatoraide. Easily 100 kids came up and joined him, sitting around the stage crosslegged and drinking cold bottles of free gatorade. After 10 minutes...he invited all the mothers of the kids to join him...which the all gladly did.

He started throwing out copies of his latest CD which were wrapped inside T-shirts. His dozen or so "CaboGirls" assisted in this. My guess is easily 100 of thesae were tossed to the happy crowds.

The newspapers reported that night that he had gone to 4 different hospitals in the area to visit the childrens units to meet kids and give them freebees and some lifted spirits.

I think im concidered a fan. It would have been nice to have one of the $25.00 chips, but its not to be. So I'll settle for his concert in Detroit.
