You make a good point. Actually 2 good points. Actually, No, I haven't been to Binions. I have been downtown twice and haven't gone in there yet. Nor have I been to 4Qs either. The only places I have been is Fitz and GN. I definately want to hit 4Q and Binions when I am there this year. If I get downtown that is. I also agree that there is definately a place in my collection for the game worn chips and tokens. One of my favorite tokens is the Treasure Island one that, I think, gets better with age. It's design lends itself to wear in that they take on that cheracter of a piece of pirate gold. I hadn't thought of it while playing at Fitzgeralds, last year, but when I got home I wanted to kick myself for not bringing a couple home. Now that you have mentioned it I will hit Fitz's again as well as Binions and try to pick up a few. That is why, as I started to mention, I will lightly clean chips to take the grit and dirt off but don't bother to completely clean them. In fact, when dirt gets worked into the engravings etc. it makes them stand out a little. Especially when you clean the surface,LIGHTLY, and let the dirt stay in the scratches, engravings etc. It helps make some of the fine detail more noticable. I responded to a few posts the last couple days that has struck me with the need to make up a new compilation. I am now inspired and will get one together asap. I mention the TI token a bit. I think I will include that along with some of my other game worn and other favorites.
