... on the sale of the single $2.50 pink Harrah's chip. However, if you look again at the introduction to the discussion, you'll see that Dean actually complained about the sale of five different chips, all of which he believes to be non-genuine.

The introduction to the report notes that Whalen says he produced at least 20-22 of these chips for Mel. No one has ever come forward to say that he bought such a chip with disclosure that it wasn't real.

The report as posted is an "interim" report. The inquiry is continuing under the direction of Marty Kaplan. Anyone who has information about these chips should provide it to him immediately.

This situation sucks, Avram, but it sucks because there is:

Sufficient proof, in my opinion, to stand up in a court of law (which is where I've earned my living for more than 25 years).

Mel is one of my oldest and best friends in the hobby and my "heart" is sick over what he did. While the board's decision may seem harsh, it was both appropriate and necessary.
