I think I'm convinced to buy one... I too have a 3+" organizer crammed with stuff (junk) that was a pain to keep up with and retrieve information from (finding old notes I had 6 months ago).

#1 Many friends (at work) use the Palms, Handsprings and Sony's. Some exchange data using the Ir. This would be VERY convienient for me.
Q: Are the different models compatable (for data sharing) ?

#2 Next what operating system?

What about the Zaurus? It uses Unix I think. I REALLY like it but am affraid of non-compatability. Thoughts? Are WORD, Excel the same in any OS?

#3 I know I would like color because we do use pictures of things for illustations. Plus it would be neat to have a few of my own pics too!

I have seen the New Sony with the camera, it's really neat, but not what I need.

#4 I am familiar with computers and it seems that memory id constantly being outgrown. MANY PDAs (that others I know) have 8 meg. I am only looking at PDAs with 64meg and I am aprehensive that that will soon be outgrown. I keep thinking this BUT realize again storage is for your computer NOT the PDA. The PDA is to make small chunks of data portable. RIGHT? Plus I could get a memory stick later if this became a problem. Correct?

PALM, SHARP, HP, COMPAQ.... Hmm Have considered EVERY ONE OF THOSE! Wonder if I just bought one of each and just networked each pocket! LOL

NEEDS: I need to see WORD docs, EXCEL sheets (some would REALLLY have to be scaled down), Keep important Email as reference (but not send/recv), Be able to see/show a few pictures, Have a years worth of notes and calendar of events, TO DO LIST, Appointments, At least one Telephone Book of about 800 entries, And an employee DATA file for about 50 people. ((Most PDAs do MP3s that would be NICE! but not 'Needed' & prob eats memory)
