I don't know any of them but I am pretty certain that the Culinary Union's leaders will not condone violence. That is a fastest way I know of to lose any support you have from the general public, politicians, church, etc...

In any large group of people though, (on the mangement side too) you have your idiots who think that violence is the way to go. Fortunately along with the pickets on the street there will be police to maintain order. The union may even have it's own security force to pluck the trouble makers off of the picket line & whisk them away.

I really don't think you or any of the other chippers will have any trouble other than being delayed as long as you treat the strikers with the same respect you would like to be shown & realize that they're out there because they feel their hand was forced.
