Bob, try this.....
In Response To: Re: Cruise Chips ()

The important thing here is that you know how to "navigate" through your computer's files, and that the files are formatted as .jpg or .gif.

First, go to the "file upload" page by clicking the "file upload" button on message index page. A small dialogue box then opens. Click to dot to prevent over-writing of your picture, i.e., No. Type in your name (first, last, handle, it doesn't matter, as long as it is unique to you). Then put in a valid email address.

Then, click the "browse" button. Another dialogue box opens up, but this box represents your computer's directory of files. The objective is to "navigate" to the CD where you have the picture and once you are at the CD then you must "navigate" down to the specific file. Once you find the file, either double-click it (to get that name to appear in the small window to the left of the "browse" button, or single click it and then click "open" which is in the Directory Dialogue Box.

Once the file name is to the left of the "browse" button, then click on the "submit" button. Your computer will now send the file to Greg's server and file it with other images. Once it is transfered your screen will change to tell you that it was sucessful and it will display the image you transferred. Just below your image is the URL for that image, i.e., the web-address of the picture on Greg's server. You should either write down that URL, or just highlight it with your mouse and copy it to memory (Control+C).

Then, return to TheChipBoard and post a new message. Towards the bottom of the yellow box there is a space for an "Optional Image URL" just past the contents of memory in that box (Control+V), be sure that "http://" does not appear twice in the URL line.

Click "Preview Message" and you should see your message and the image. Then, click the back button and "Post Message".

Good luck.

Jim
