John, I think someone mentioned one time that anyone could go to the special collections photo arhcives for UNLV. Is that where these photos came from? Can you post the location? Thanks! And thank you for the mention in the article, that was really nice of you!

Doug Saito's article on the TR King chips was much appreciated, too!! OMG, some of those chips are incredible!! (especially the Las Vegas Club die cut $5)... to quote Jim Steffner (out of context) I had to "raise [my] lower jaw and stop saying 'Wow, Oh Boy, I can't believe this, Gee Wiz, or Great'!"

Howdy, Thank you for the article on Sharkey. I'm very glad that we were able to stop there in October and see the place and take a few pictures. We got to meet Sharkey, he was sitting at the corner of his lunch counter, that day. My only regret is that I didn't think to ask him to autograph a casino chip for us. I lied...another regret is that he was eating, and we didn't want to impose, so we only chatted for a minute and didn't get to hear any of his stories.

Allan, thanks for sharing some of your photos with us. I've never seen any of those places....very different from Vegas casinos! We "almost" saw the Stateline in October, we were just down the road....about 30 miles....and didn't have time for the side trip.
