Re: Collecting software
In Response To: Collecting software ()

I am using CHECKMATE and so far it is working great. I have a little less than 300 chips. Don't know yet if has a limit to the number of chips it will hold but believe it only limited to the power of your computer? I started checkmate from the beginning so it was relatively easy to key in the data and scan the chip front & back. A word of caution, if you already have a sizable collection be prepared to spend many hours getting everything into checkmate or any other software you should choose. The result I think will be worth it.
1. In using checkmate you will already have a jpeg scan ready to upload to the chipboard or ebay.
2. When using checkmate you will also be able to view your collection on screen and even enlarge the image for more detailed viewing.
3. I have encountered no bugs.

I also use similar software to track my book collection and another for figurines and yet another for my DVDs and CDs.

The caution again, do not go this route unless you are willing to spend the time to see it through. Once done, I think you will be happy with the result. Good Luck
