CHIP MATH, Chapter 2 vbg

CHIP MATH*

by

Dave Smith

Ever wonder how many chips it would take, placed flat and lined up edge to edge, to cover a FOOTBALL FIELD? I mean the whole field, including the end zones.

Just think about this for a moment. Some day you will be in a casino lounge and somebody will say, "Gee, I wonder how many chips it takes to cover a football field." And you'll say, "Ummm, including the end zones...?" Just think how many beer bets you can win.

*CHIP MATH uses a standard Paulson casino chip for all calculations. The chip is in good condition, but has seen table play. The chip’s dimensions are: 1 9/16” diameter, 1/8” thickness. CHIP MATH is a public service brought to you by The Chip Board. All calculations are done by a professional chip collector. Any attempt to recreate these calculations should be done under close adult supervision. (Actually my assignment for tonight was to clean out the basement. I’m in big trouble when Jenny gets home. I’ll blame it on Kerry though. )
