Steven, many of us have the complete set of Sonoma Joe's chips, located in Petaluma, California. (about 40 miles north of San Francisco).

Without going into the detailed history of the Casino (different owners, etc.,) the casino is still in existence, recently being converted back to the original name of Sonoma Joe's from the Jok-erz Wild about two years ago.

The old Sonoma Joe's chips are of course obsolete, but not rare as many were manufactured. I have in the past, offered them at face value, although you will find others trying to get top dollar for them. Their worth is nowhere near what is is being quote in the books and never were, except to the authors of the books who had them for sale. Any I bought, I paid $1.00 each maximum, althought many were traded for other chips.
