Hey Mike -

Couple of ways you may be able to do this. If you use WinZip (or even backup programs like Take Two) you can "span" multiple disks. If you are using a program like DirectCD to put it on the CD then it should act just like any other filesystem.

Also if you zip the file before storing on the CD you can reduce it significantly. In my case 1750 chips (a 150meg database file) zipped down to 58MB (about 60%). This will buy you a little more time if you get a similar compression.

Finally, you may want to bother Carole at K-C. They are still using the MS Jet engine for Access 97. This has been significantly improved and should be much more efficient. With minor changes in their program it should be able to store more in less room by using the 2000 or 2002 database engine. There will be an upgrade process on your side, but it will be better in the long term.

You may want to see why it is taking that much space. Since you only really need to back up the Casino.mdb file, it shouldn't be that large unless you either have a TON of chips or you are using a much higher resolution that necessary (I have recently increased from 150 to 200dpi). If you have Access 97 also loaded (and I hope you don't because it is several generations behind).
