I use DirecPC satellite service for my conncetion at work where I day trade stock. Because of this I need a very fast service and so far I have no major problems. I have the old one way system and for the additional money I don't see the advantage to the two way system. Of course the two way system eliminates your ISP costs. It seems to be about as fast as my DSL at home. The only cavaet is I have heard don't get the system made for (or by?) AOL. I got mine at Best Buy.
