I also agree with the observation that slabbing would be counterproductive in any event as the two best means of identifying the non-genuine chips are both on the chip edges.

Finally, any small benefit our hobby might derive from the authentication of the brass core chips would be far outweighed by the harm of giving slabbing a foothold.
