Re: Tribal Wars In Oregon
In Response To: Tribal Wars In Oregon ()

Great Article,But another example of the GREEDINESS of the Grande Rhonde Tribe. They fail to remember that even thier Casino does not set on Resevation Land. And that they too had to purchase land to accomodate the space they now call Tribal Land. This too along with the Chinook Winds, Cow Creek, & Mill Casino all had to have land purchased and then placed into Trust by the BIA, so that they had RESERVATION LAND for thier Casino.
The Grande Rhonde are doing nothing but utilizing thier $$$ to sway the Politicians to protect their Dollar Value of Closeness to Metro Areas. As for blighting the Scenic Area of the Gorge, I'm sure Whal-Mart wouldn't have the question of distroying "Scenic Beauty" arise if they wanted a store in Hood River.
A good example of When it comes to Money.. Blood is NOT thicker than Water. And Century's of a happy co-existance can be fogged over with the Color of Money.
IMO Support the Warm Springs, besides It will be easier to obtain Chips. Ill take the drive on Hwy 84 over US 26 anytime....LOL...Happy Chipping everyone.
