Hold on there! Did my post say one word about chips? I don't think so.

Yes, that's Fremont St. As Pete and John have pointed out, and as the blowup below may help show, there can be no reasonable doubt that the sign across and down the street is the Las Vegas Club.

Furthermore, the clock-type sign behind the Apache Casino sign is the jewelry store sign visible in some photos and postcards. I'm looking for one now.

Who the licensee was for the Apache Casino I don't pretend to know. What chips, if any, they used is something else I don't pretend to know. I was merely trying to provide proof - which some posts seemed to want - that there was in fact an Apache Casino in the Apache Hotel.

The photo does that. And nothing more.
