One other very important point. Way back when the Apache was named it was known as Hotel Apache.
It didn't take on the name Apache Hotel until Binion took over in 1951. The sign above the casino still read Hotel Apache until it was taken down some time in the late 1950's or early 60's. Inorder for the Hotel Apache to operate a casino it would have had to eliminate their own bar and cafe which they eventually did.
You see the Apache Bar and Cafe took up the space under the Hotel until the first casino(The Eldorado)moved in and leased the space from the owners of the Hotel. Best, Jim
