The Trump Marina in Atlantic City released the 1st Anniversary $100 Hooters chip today.
The chip was limited to 100 pieces. It was explained to me, the reason for 100 chips is due to the fact that they had 120 pieces of the
hologram inlay [which is the Hooters official logo] left over from the previous $5 and $25 issue.

I arrived at 10 AM for the 12 O'clock release. I though I would have to ask where the release would take place. As it turned out I spotted the line and found myself to be #11 in line. While standing in line there were several conversations speculating as to how many of the 100 chip issue would actually be placed on the table. several people speculated that some would either be held for executives or employees.
As the release time grew near, the line had swelled to about 45 people and it was announced that sales would be limited to 1 chip per transaction.
At about 12:15 chips sales began. The entire rack of 100 chips was placed on the table. There were several employees and also a few suits there to purchase chips. They were ALL at the end of the line.
You were permitted to go thru the line more than once until the entire 100 chips were sold.
There were people there that were speculators, NIS providers , employees and collectors.
It didn't take long for the entire 100 to be sold. Some people were lucky enough to get through the line 3 times.
Unfortunately the new issue providers most likely didn't get what they needed. I assume that was partially due to people purchasing to make a quick buck.
I had 3 different people who appeared to be employees ask me what they could get for the chips. One new issue provider that was short of what he needed offered $125.00 for one of the chips only to be turned down.
I suppose now its a rush to see who can get theirs on ebay first.
All in all a organized and fair distribution with no favorites played.
