Starr Warrick Memorial Sale

Funny how that works. I'm still searching the Michael Knapp, Information Booth articles from past issues for the "Elvis Chips" since someone said they were in a back issue. (the last tip noted a page number and issue, which had no page number that high?)

Meanwhile back at the ranch...

CC&TN Issue Vol. 5 #1, 1992, Page 47 and back cover (I only have photocopies) Also see page 31 for disclaimer.

"Collector's Series" AD World-Wide Casino Exchange, Bill Borland. 35 total chips

1) All have opening and closing dates on them.
2) All are Nevada mold
3) All were issued $1, 5, 25, 100, 500, 1000 & 5,000 markings.
4) Original Selling price was $1 per chip plus $3 for shipping.

El Rancho Vegas
Thunderbird Hotel
Silver Slipper
The Mint
Castaways Casino

Who knows how many sets sold, but I remember when they were first issued, I wasn't interested, even at the bargain price of $1 each. Are they collectible? Yes, but not at $20 each. grin

Someone should have a set, and these should be added to the club page on Faux/Fantasy chips.

What's funny was I started reading the Information Booth this morning and was thinking this would make in informative post. I showed up and the thread was already ongoing.
