I can't quite tell from the picture. Are the airtites recessed or is there a piece of glass over the top? or both?

Actually, if you have them recessed, I'm dying to know what drill bit size you are using. I bought a 2" forsner bit and it is just a tad too small. The next size I saw was 2 1/8" and I though that'd be too big.
