It's in Vinton Louisiana. Delta Downs Race Track. Vinton is just on the Louisiana side of the border, they added on to accomodate 1500 slot machines (but everyone says 1500 is CONSERVATIVE, it looks like more). The reason this is such a prime spot is that it is right in between all the traffic from Houston going to the boats in Lake Charles. They hope to divert all the slot players away from Harrah's, Isle of Capri, The Pride, and Grand Palais as well as pulling some away from Grand Coushatta in Kinder. I expect they will and the boats will have to loosen up their slots to attract the business back. The casinos in Lake Charles have been looking at every detail to find a way to prevent them from opening, Delta Downs has been looking back at them also. Each is pointing out EVERY little infraction the others are making. It's funny, because BOTH are getting caught with their pants down! I think Stardust in Las Vegas which is held by Boyd Gaming owns delta now (not positive on those details off-hand).
