Ron,
Nope...don't own any stock in Compaq. I'm just saying that your PC has little to do with the problems you're having with getting on Jackpot's site.
Cleaning your system of all those old files is always a good idea, and makes your system run more efficiently, but the problem, I believe, is with Jackpot's bumping the wall against their allowable bandwidth.
I use Netscape as my browser, and Jackpot's site looks awfully weird. There are overlaying images, it's slow to load, and if you try to use the "back" key...you'll be sorry! Too many times, I forget that and am greeted with an error message and have to reload Netscape. How about IE users? Any problems with it?
And for the record, while I don't have Compaq stock, I do have a Compaq tower and an older (200Mhz) Presario laptop networked on DSL...working fine.
