---You said, "My employers owed me only one thing and that was to provide me with the agreed upon check at the end of the pay period if I did my work correctly..." Didn't the Horseshoe agree to provide their employees with medical coverage (charged or not) when they accepted their positions? Shouldn't they owe it to them since they promised it to them when they accepted their jobs?---

Yes, you're correct Tyrus, the employer does owe the insurance to the employees under these circumstances. And if the employers decides afterwards not to honor the agreement, then the employee should move on and offer his skills to someone else. If the circumstances were such that the employee for some reason failed to live up to his part of the bargain, then the employer should try to find someone else to do the job better.

---You also said, "If the Horseshoe is such a miserable place to work, why not offer your services to someone else?" Maybe because there are over ten thousand casino employees in town that have recently been laid off and are also hitting the pavement looking for work? Pretty slick of Becky to do cut backs when she knows how tough it is right now to change jobs.---

Yes, I agree once again with your statement regarding Becky's "slickness" as a business women. I believe most employees feel they are underpaid and most employees feel they are overpaying.

I know absolutely nothing about the Binion's, or the casino business but I do remember back in the 50's, there was a glut of engineers hitting the business world and jobs were very difficult to find. The solution to the problem came when the engineers diversified into different fields and the new students changed majors. The surplus ended and things got back to normal.

Seems to me that if there are over ten thousand people pounding the streets looking for the same type of job, I might someday get the idea that maybe I should change occupations or at least change venues.
