All of the Mandalay (Circus) properties are making a big deal out of the fact that they have eliminated the $3 energy surcharge. They do still charge $.75 for local phone calls every day "for your convenience". It sure would be nice if you could go to their web sites and see how much the room is actually going to cost every night before you sign up. I rented a car in Las vegas last year where the surcharges and taxes were as much as the rental.
