Re: Allan M -- Sphinx - Reno, a rarity?

I haven't seen it on the Sphinx chips, Rich, but we have on others such as the Detroit area Crest & Seals. It may be a roulette, not sure.

We aren't even sure where these Sphinx chips were used. Harvey Fuller lists a Club in Reno called "The Sphynx" at 1410 E. 4th St., 1941-1943. It was licensed for 21 & roulette and was owned by Fred Lewis. I have seen a copy of the Washoe Co. records. They are nice chips and like the "Pal's", I hope we can find their former home. Until then, both sets will have to be listed as UFC's.
