I do not have enough information on what could be out there. One keeps popping up adding more to the total in collections. I wrote in my book 12 to 15. I knew of 12. I heard a few more sets had been sold so figured 15. I dont think at the time I knew of Gene's. My estimates are what they are. And written to the best of my knowledge. Most chips that come out in hoards I know the source & have better information. THis deal is unlike any others as Gene said we have been lied to since the beginning.
I therefore not possible say how many I think exist.
As for value I know many feel now that ebay is a rather definitive source. this last brought a little over $700. Maybe the right guy would still pay $1,000, probably not on ebay. Or my new customer who is willing to pay $900. I would estimate the value to be $700 to $900. New book evalutation would be $300 to $600 to $900 & would cover this for this always mint condition chip. That is if I were rewriting my book today. By the time it was to go the a publisher & come out value could change like anything else. Pices go up & down in retail stores, housing etc.

Can we say 3 are in one collection as I was told the same guy bought all 3. These are counted as the total known. Which looks closer to 20 now so the rarity rating would drop to a 7. There seems to be a line between collectors wanting 8 & 7's. New clientele wants rare chips that under 15 are known. Having 20 known should not affect the value much especially as our hobby grows. I do feel our hobby is growing.
