Latest regarding the C/T/SSOTY Collection Project.

Last night I was pleased to find three more donations to this Project, i.e., the Club's effort to acquire the complete set of past (and future) COTY, TOTY and SSOTY winners.

At this point, we have donations for all of the SSOTY winners! Actually, there has only been one winner since the SSOTY aspect of the competitions has only been run in 2001.

While we have had an excellent response for COTY winners, it remains that the 1997 Harrah's (Laughlin) "I'm A Chipper"/Labor Day LE and the 1991 Harrah's (Lake Tahoe) sailboat LE are eluding us. Surely someone must have one of these as a duplicate.

I would like to point out that a donation to the Club becomes a part of the permanent records of the Club. Even though our own individual collections may come and go, I suspect that the Club's collection may have a longevity equal to the life of casino memorabilia collecting.

And now a few words about the lack of token donations. What can I say, except, "Where are all of the token collectors?" Of all the past TOTY's winners, we have but a single donation! sad Admittedly, two of the past TOTY winners were Silver Strikes (thus making 'release' more difficult) but all the remaining un-donated items are tokens. Seven of which are $1 slot machine tokens and one is a $5 slot machine token, all of which have a tendancy to last forever and should be available.

Here now is the list of donors, to date, all of whom Archie and I thank for your contributions:

COTY '00 - Bob Bosseler
SSOTY '00 - Andy Hughes
COTY '99 - Ralph Myers
TOTY '99 - Archie Black
COTY '98 - Jim Follis
COTY '96 (tie/Stratosphere) - Scott Brodsky
COTY '96 (tie/Mohegan Sun) - Clyde/Toni Bailey
COTY '94 - Nate Pincus
COTY '93 - Marty Robbins
COTY '92 - Fred Bergman
COTY '91 - Robert Pardue

Thank you
