I read the article in its entirety.

I see at least we are in agreement that grading certainly is a factor.
There is no argument that there are other areas in chip collecting that could use improvement. We are concerned about all of these.

I think you might also agree that if slabbing were to take hold it could very well compound many of the factors that you mention.

You mention "limited edition" chips that never hit the tables. I think on this point we are in agreement. These chips are brand new, fresh out of the box, never touched by human hands grin.
What possible positive effect can be gained by slabbing a brand new chip other than adding to the cost?
