Re: Las Vegas Baccarat Chips

Brian, here's scan of some of the Las Vegas baccarat oversize chips, excluding the $100's and above. By my count, there are a total of 14-15 chips from 7 casinos that have o/s baccarat chips available for face value. (Total face value = $187 for the 15 chips.) The "CU" in the image notes "current" status, as follows:
Aladdin-London Club -- $1, $5 and $20. (The $1 is sold out however, unless you get lucky.)
Caesars Palace -- $5 and $20 (with chariot logo)
Las Vegas Hilton -- $20
Mandalay Bay -- $5 and $25
MGM Grand -- $5 and $25 (H&C-house mold)
Palms -- $1, $5 and $25
Paris -- $5 and $20

I've found the best way to get these baccarat chips is either from the cage, if available (sometimes there is a separate cage in/near the baccarat pit). Or if not available at the cage, go to the baccarat pit in the afternoon of early evening-- after the room is open, but before the late night action gets going. Usually, there's at least 1 table with staff, but no players. Just tell the guy that seats you that you aren't there to play, but just to get a chip(s) as a souvineir. Ask for one in "new" condition, and they will usually look through a stack for a nice one.

I really like oversize & baccarat chips, especially the $20 denominations. Hope you enjoy the ones you get.
