In Response To: Re: COTY/TOTY/SSOTY 2001 ()

Chuck; I didn't twist anything. You are the one who made the offending post I quoted ... I didn't. That reference I made was a direct quote YOU made only a few days ago.

The club members decide which chip wins COTY each year ... not "the East Coast guys" as you have outrageously charged in your current post that I am responding to.

Last year the rules were such that allowed only one winner for COTY. Four Queens had a couple of worthy chips nominated which split the vote for COTY 2000. This year; one person submitted a suggestion that the club have 1st, 2nd, 3rd Place prizes for all three categories and the club officers authorized NINE awards for this year's contest. Perhaps your choice will get one of those three COTY awards this year.

Chuck; I don't decide the winners ... the judges do ... so in your estimation, according to your paraphrased comment ... the 100 judges from all over the country must have "screwed" Four Queens last year. I think that comment is a slap at all of the interested COTY judges who voted their concience last year. Chips issued this year have nothing to do with chips that were issued last year. Your comparison is not a valid one.

My original post (that you jumped on) had to do with waiting until ALL the chips, tokens and silver strikes are issued during the entire year of 2001 before proclaiming one or the other the winner.

Deadline for COTY/TOTY/SSOSY nominations has been set for March 15th, so there is plenty of time AFTER December 31st to "promote" the worthy candidates.... some of which may not have been issued yet. THAT was the sole context of my original post and was not directed at only you.
