I sent you a long answer/opinion via email but the short version is "some do, some don't". Many use them on crap tables (such as the shoe in vegas) or on Pai Gow tables for the vig (such as the place next door to the shoe ).

My latest trip to Biloxi yeilded a few that are used in craps during the daytime when the table limits are small ("25 cent hard 5 for the dealers"). When the limits are $5 and above, these chips disappear.
