This time you read something into it about face value ....

I just said "some paper money or check for a roll of quarters". In Texas (and in most states, yours included) sales tax is not based on face value or profit, only total of the sale.

My point is: I don't think sales tax is due on a current roll of US quarters, and the sellers have 'assumed' anything they sell on ebay in their home state IS taxable. I don't know that that assumption is true. BUT I am not "POSITIVE" so I have avoided buying from my home state and thus avoided the issue. I am curious about the issue though. Just wondering about the tax law not the logics of the government, Pete LOL.
