Whelan May Not Have Necessarily Won A.C. Mayorship

The Press of Atlantic City is reporting today that even though on election night Atlantic City Mayor James Whelan was declared the winner that may not be the case. The Atlantic County Board of Elections are still counting absentee ballots and it looks that Democratic candidate Lorenzo Langford may be declared the winner. By the way, Whelan was forced to run as an independent Democrat when the Atlantic City Democratic Committee refused to support him as the Democratic candidate.
