Scott,
I scan chips at 200 dpi. I then use Photo Studio that comes with the scanner & bring the image up to actual size (that is was scanned to). I then reduce that image to 64%. I like the size it comes out to which is of course bigger than the actual size of the chip, but shows better detail. I then sharpen once & I'm done!
