Here is an update.
As I posted previously, my office was on the 82nd floor of One World Trade Center. Of the 58 people 27 were in the office when the attacked occurred. 24 made it down the stairs and 3 were not heard from again. On this past Monday, the body of Charles Lesperance, a computer programmer that worked for me was identified by fingerprints. Apparently the 3 staff were together with one injured waiting on the 82nd floor to be evacuated. One report is that a 911 operator called them and told them to wait to be evacuated. Charles' body was found on the Trinity St. side of the building intact except for decomposition. So it appears that Charles decided to try to go down after he left a voice mail on his fiance's cell phone at 9:34. When I spoke to his fiance on Tues evening, she speculated that he was hit by the collapsing building and that if he had 3 more minutes, he may have made it. She did feel better that his body was found for some closure.
I visited with Shum's wife on Wednesday. She seems to be holding as best as she can as are his two children, aged 3 and 5, shown below.
Ignatius, also still missing has 3 children.

While it is difficult writing about this, occassionally, it seems almost therapeutic to put my thoughts down here.
