SUPER-DUPER IVORY POKER CHIP OFFER grin

Though this chip is not depicted in "Antique Gambling Chips" - Revised Edition (I found them after publication), it is coded (IP-LE) and listed in the "1998 New Codes Supplement" and carries the same value (Q: $200-$299) as three other previously coded chips having similar characteristics: IP-LD, IP-LH and IP-LL.

What makes this chip interesting is that its characteristics are somewhat incorporating those of the three similar chips noted above; having the grooved rim of the IP-LL, the numeral design of the IP-LD, and the floral pattern of the IP-LH. Note that IP-LD has a solid pigmented rim while IP-LH is natural. This chip has a white pigmented groove.

Anyway, now for the sales pitch part: grin

Yesterday, I sold 4 examples of this chip; 1 from my eBay Store listing ($150); 2 from my eBay Auction listing (current bid $153.07) and one from my current ivory poker chip list ($150).

I have 6 examples remaining. The balance of what was in my find has been placed in collections during the past 4-years.

The chips are full-blown with a solid yellow (mustard) rim on both sides. Most scrimshaw pigmentation is complete and deep, but small portions of pigment have dislarged in the past 125-years or so. The pieces are free of any cracks, fractures or nerveholes, though of course the nerve is visible.

Price: $150 + $3 P&I.
