Re: virus a=!"#$% alert
In Response To: virus a=!"#$% alert ()

First time I heard of this coming from someone you know. Every one I have ever received has been something like Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.....(the rest of the subject line varies) and it is sent by a sender like HaHaHa @ sexyfun.com(email address can also vary) It contains any of several file attachments. The ones I have gotten have been joke.exe . I have received this about 5 or 6 times. I have the option to ignore mail with attachments so I just delete them. On AOL I have to deliberately select download to access an attached file. I have always been able to just delete it. If you are using Outlook you may not have any option but some email programs, Eudora for example will allow you the option to NOT OPEN ATTACHMENTS unless you specifically do so. Other programs like Outlook, as I understand, will automatically open all attachments when you download your mail. Check your preferences. Never Open the mail. Just delete it. It is a known Virus. Check the link below for more information on viruses. I have, on occasion, taken the subject of strange unsolicited or suspicious email and run them or fragments of them through Symantecs search page. On a couple of cases I have found that the mail was in fact a virus. Input "Snow White" in the Search Box. Include the Quotes and you will get a couple of hits. It pays to be vigilent.
